Nominations are now open for membership on the State's peak advisory body on historic heritage, with two positions becoming available at the end of this year.
Applications are being sought from experienced, qualified individuals who are committed to identifying, conserving and promoting the sensitive development of historic heritage places within Western Australia.
The nine-member Heritage Council of WA makes recommendations to the Heritage Minister on possible entries to the State Register of Heritage Places, helps shape State policy direction and actively champions and promotes good heritage practices.
Applicants with experience in engineering and building, property ownership, heritage conservation and interpretation, local government, history and construction will bolster the collective skills and expertise of existing members.
The State Government is committed to working toward gender parity across all government boards. Appointments will be made for terms up to five years.
