Did you know that the City of Perth operates a community centre where you can sneak away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD? A place where you can sit down and enjoy a morning brew with a full English breakfast, or hot lunch for less than $10?
The Citiplace community centre, conveniently located on the upper walkway level of the City train station on Wellington Street, also provides a range of activities from mahjong and yoga to arts and craft.
And if it's a shower you're after, or access to a pristine toilet - the City also operates the Citiplace Rest Centre on the train concourse nearby. Here, you'll find an air-conditioned rest area, complete with lockers, stroller and wheelchair hire, as well as showers, accessible toilets (and soon to open, an all-gender bathroom), as well as adult change tables.
Both centres are the type of friendly place that welcomes everyone and the type of place we, here at the City of Perth, are really proud of. For years, we've asked people for their feedback about their experience with these services and their insight has helped shape many improvements. We've worked hard to deliver clean facilities, with a wide range of nutritious meals and our friendly staff are next to none.
That's why we're pleased to spruik the results of our most recent customer satisfaction survey, our best yet! The 2022 survey found that 100% of respondents would recommend our Rest Centre to others, and 99% would recommend our Community Centre.
What's more - our loyal patrons know a good thing and stick to it! More than a quarter (28%) have been visiting the Community Centre for a decade or longer and more than half (54%) visit every week.
The feedback has been hugely positive. Here's how some respondents described the services:
