High Range Drink Driving - Crash on Primrose Sands Road

A 51-year-old woman from Forcett will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court in December after crashing her red Ford utility on Primrose Sands Road yesterday.

The woman registered a blood alcohol reading of 0.213 when she crashed her red Ford utility just before 9.30am. She lost control of her vehicle before crossing to the wrong side of the road and colliding with a tree, narrowly avoiding serious injury.

"Tasmania Police continue to see this type of reckless driving which puts innocent people at risk on our roads, it will not be tolerated. Offending drivers will be detected and charged" said Inspector Jon Cooper.

The woman has been charged with Exceed 0.05, Driving under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and issued with an immediate 24-month licence disqualification notice.
