  • Maistraße 11, 80337 Munich

Over two hundred thousand Munich residents have been born at the University Women's Hospital on Maistraße, which opened in 1916. Since its closure in 2023, the listed building has stood empty and is no longer open to the public. After extensive renovation, the former women's clinic will be used in the future by the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Statistics at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.

However, on Sunday, September 14, 2025, interested parties will have the opportunity to take an exclusive look inside the historic clinic as part of Open Monument Day®. Guided tours of the building will take place at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m., each lasting around one hour. The tour will include visits to the library, lecture hall, church, and delivery room, among other areas.

The tours provide fascinating insights into the history of the women's clinic and its use. Visitors also have the opportunity to take exclusive photos and videos inside the building.
