Identity sought: Surfers Paradise

Police are seeking information following reports of an unknown man entering the water at Surfers Paradise Beach last night.

At about 9pm, police responded to reports of a man who was fully clothed walking into the water.

Officers with the assistance of Polair and Water Police searched the area, however were unable to locate anyone.

Investigations have further revealed CCTV of the man, who police wish to identify.

He is described as Caucasian, aged between 50-60 years-old with grey hair. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, denim shorts and dark shoes.

Police are appealing for the man or anyone that can identify him to contact police immediately as police fear for the man's safety.
