IMF Signs Establishment Agreement With Spain

Washington, DC: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) today announced that it has signed an establishment agreement with the Government of Spain and is working with the Valencian Community to launch the "IMF Technology Center in Spain - Valencia" to support its IT operations.

The Center will support the IMF's global operations through information technology, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and other specialized technology services. It will help strengthen the IMF's technological capabilities and support its operations across its global membership.

Valencia was selected following an extensive evaluation process that considered factors including its strong technology ecosystem, highly skilled workforce, strategic location, and established international presence.

The IMF appreciates the collaboration and support of the Government of Spain and the Valencian Community in advancing this initiative. The Center will be implemented in phases as operational capabilities and staffing are progressively expanded.
