Improving environmental sustainability of dialysis services

This latest study by researchers from Ellen Medical Devices (EMD) examines the environmental sustainability practices of dialysis facilities and provides insights into where improvements could be made. EMD is an initiative of The George Institute, which was set up to build the world's first affordable dialysis machine.

The study, published in the Clinical journal of American Society of Nephrology and led by Dr Benjamin Talbot, is based on a survey of dialysis facilities in Australia and New Zealand between November 2019 and December 2020. The results show there is great scope for making dialysis practices more environmentally friendly.
