Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic has announced three new appointments to the Industry Innovation and Science Australia (IISA) Board.
IISA plays an important role advising the government on science, innovation and research matters to support the delivery of government priorities, and works to facilitate greater collaboration between government, industry and the research sector.
Ms Kate Glazebrook brings strong entrepreneurial experience and engagement with venture capital in the technological sector and expertise in behavioural economics.
Dr Cori Stewart has advanced manufacturing expertise and has pioneered work in university and industry collaboration and research commercialisation.
Professor Fang Chen is internationally recognised for her expertise in ethical and human-centred artificial intelligence and data science. She also has experience in fostering innovation and digital transformation.
Ms Glazebrook, Dr Stewart and Professor Chen have all been appointed for a three-year period.
Minister Husic also announced that Dr Cathy Foley and Ms Lauren Stafford have been reappointed to the IISA Board.
Dr Foley is Australia's Chief Scientist and has been reappointed as Deputy Chair. Dr Foley will continue her important role on the IISA Board enabling collaboration across sectors and governments.
Ms Stafford will continue to provide real-world industry experience and expertise in technology, innovation and commercialisation.
