Input wanted on outdoor fitness locations

Mitchell Shire Council will be installing outdoor fitness equipment stations in Wandong and Heathcote Junction and is seeking community input on the proposed locations.

Council has secured $210,000 funding through Federal Government's Local Roads and Infrastructure Program for the project to deliver 5 stations along the Say G'Day Trail.

The proposed station locations have been prepared in consultation with the Wandong Heathcote Junction Community Group who have helped make this project possible.

Other considerations including visibility, proximity to underground services and cultural heritage have influenced the proposed locations.

Each station will comprise different exercise elements, with the five-station circuit providing a free full-body workout for people of various ages and fitness levels.

A drop-in session will be held from 5.30-6.30pm on Wednesday 5 May at LB Davern Reserve.

People can also take a short online survey to have their say.

Input closes 5pm on Monday 17 May.
