International Women's Day 2023: Embracing Equity in Yarra

In honour of International Women's Day 2023 on Wednesday 8 March, we're very excited to celebrate the incredible contributions that women make to our vibrant community.

Our lifeguards will be celebrating all week long, wearing pink hats as part of Life Saving Victoria's Pink Patrol initiative.

How are we celebrating?

A special edition of Women Making Waves

Join us to celebrate International Women's Day at our very special and FREE edition of Women Making Waves at Collingwood Leisure Centre from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Saturday 11 March.

Join us for free group exercise classes and swimming lessons. You can also enjoy casual access to the gym, pools, spa and sauna.

Women of all ages, cultures and abilities are welcome as well as boys under 5 years. We only roster female staff during Women Making Waves, we also close the blinds around the pool area and place a screen in front of the door, to ensure it is a private and safe space for all women.

No bookings are required, simply enter at reception and let us know what classes you'd like to join.

Women's only gym sessions at the Collingwood Estate Gym

Visit the Collingwood Estate Gym and join our regular women's only gym sessions on Tuesday and Thursday each week from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Women's only open gym sessions at the the Collingwood Estate Gym are supervised sessions staffed by only female instructors. You can use all of the available gym equipment and bookings are not required. Our sessions are based on a first in best dresses basis, so please simply turn up for the session.
