The initiative strengthens IU LAB's growing suite of venture development programs, including the Pre-Accelerator powered by gener8tor and the LifeTech Accelerator powered by Plug and Play and Biocrossroads, further positioning Indiana as a hub for AI-enabled bioscience innovation. The IU LAB Bio Start-up Center and its IU Health Incubator translate breakthrough research into real-world solutions. Their collaboration with NVIDIA Inception will enable startups, from early-stage biotech and biomanufacturing platforms to advanced organoid and medical device developers, to leverage cutting-edge AI and GPU-accelerated technologies to scale their ventures.
"Integrating NVIDIA's technical resources with IU LAB's academic, clinical and research infrastructure creates an unparalleled platform for biotech innovation," said David Rosenberg, president and CEO at IU LAB. "NVIDIA Inception is the ideal collaborator to help our startups navigate the complexities of AI, allowing them to focus on what matters most: improving patient outcomes and advancing the frontiers of human health."
A scalable, founder-friendly platform
NVIDIA Inception is a free program that guides AI startups through the NVIDIA platform and ecosystem. The program meets startups where they are and helps them discover new AI opportunities, build with world-class technologies and grow their businesses.
Startups engaging through the IU Health Incubator will benefit from:
- Technical tools and credits: Access to the latest NVIDIA software development kits, preferred pricing on hardware and software, and cloud credits to reduce the cost of AI development.
- Training and mentorship: Free, self-paced courses through the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.
- Venture capital exposure: Opportunities to connect with NVIDIA's extensive network of investors through the Inception Capital Connect platform.
- Co-marketing resources: Customizable, co-branded assets and joint marketing opportunities based on alignment.
Strengthening the Indiana bioscience ecosystem
This collaboration reinforces IU LAB's mission to advance Indiana's position as a global leader in life sciences. By lowering the barrier to entry for advanced technology, the IU Health Incubator at IU LAB and NVIDIA Inception are empowering the next generation of life science innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders.
"As startups explore new ways to build and scale, AI is beginning to reshape how discovery and innovation come together," said Howard Wright, vice president of the startup ecosystem at NVIDIA. "With IU LAB, we're helping a new generation of startups use AI to turn research into real-world impact across human health and biotech."
