A Launceston man's quiet day around the house was flipped upside down in an instant, after a phone call from us revealed he'd scored more than $159,000 in the weekend's Super 66 draw.
The Tasmanian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Super 66 draw 4685, drawn Saturday 13 June 2026. He took home a total prize of $159,520.10.
So far this year, Tasmania has been home to six major lottery wins worth more than $15.9 million.
The winning man was completely oblivious to his six-figure windfall until he answered a phone call from us this morning.
"That's lovely news! That's the best news I've had in months!" he said.
"Wow. Did you just say $159,000?!
"I'm pretty chuffed right now.
"I was just going to have a quiet day around the house. Not sure what I'll do with myself now.
"I need some time to think of what I'll do with the prize. There's lots of things it could go towards."
His winning entry was purchased at Freeland's News & Grocer, 112 Main Road, Exeter.
Freeland's News & Grocer co-owner Jodie Atkinson said she was over the moon to discover her outlet had sold its first ever division one winning entry.
"We were all super excited to discover the news! It's our first division one winner here at Freeland's News and Grocer," she said.
"We've already put some posters up to share the winning news with our community.
"We're super busy unloading fresh produce this morning, but you can't wipe the smiles off our faces.
"The biggest congratulations to our winner! We're all so excited for you, and we hope you're just as ecstatic as us."
