The Orange Civic Theatre has launched its 2023 Membership Season offering a great line-up and an opportunity to lock in tickets for a year of outstanding live performances.
Approximately 200 theatre goers were on hand on Thursday night for the official launch of Orange Civic Theatre's 2023 membership season of performances, the first in-person launch since before the pandemic.
Launching the season, the chair of Orange City Council's Services Policy Committee Cr Mel McDonell says Orange Civic Theatre continues to attract large numbers of patrons from Orange and the wider region.

"Alongside the important bricks-and-mortar infrastructure that every local council has to provide, I'm pleased that Orange City Council has a great record in building and continuing to support our community's cultural life," Cr McDonell said.
"Places like this theatre continue to enrich our community and make Orange a fantastic place to live.
"The theatre management has done a fantastic job putting this season of shows together, and I'd encourage local theatregoers to make sure they get in early for tickets."
Under the banner Let's Shout, the 2023 season program features shows from the theatre spectrum.
The team from Wharf Revue are back with their cutting political satire.
The internationally renowned Bell Shakespeare company returns to launch another national tour in Orange. For a number of years the company has come to Orange for a week to fine-tune its latest production. This year its presents Twelfth Night, a fast-paced romantic comedy with several interwoven plots, mistaken identities and practical jokes.
The Orange Theatre Company brings the Broadway hit School of Rock to the stage of the Civic Theatre with eight performances in May, before their second show for the year Footloose in October.
Bangarra Dance Theatre is back for another year, to present SandSong.
Fans of live music are well-catered for in the list of shows for 2023. A solo show by Marcia Hines, the Soweto Gospel Choir and concert pianist Konstantin Shamray are among the highlights.
Internationally acclaimed, unmissable, Polish pianist and composer has local music fans excited. Hania Rani starts her long awaited Australian tour starting in Orange.
Stand-up comedy always proves popular among local theatregoers, with touring comedians from both the Sydney Comedy Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival bringing their roadshows to the Orange theatre.
Shows for children of all ages are always draw a crowd. The Monkey Bass Theatre Company will present Possum Magic, while the Shake & Stir Theatre Company will deliver Roald Dahl's The Twits.
As well as popular entertainment, the season delivers cutting-edge and provocative theatre.
The Karul Projects & BlakDance production of Silence is described as a show which can "pull the unresolved conversations from under the rug and slam them back on the table …. because the conversation about a treaty will never be silenced."
