LIFTED: B Section Pipeline Boil Water

Parkes Shire

Update as of Wednesday 21 December

On Wednesday the 21st of December, the Public Health Unit Director has agreed to withdraw the Boil Water Alert for the Parkes Shire Council portion of the B Section Pipeline.

Parkes Shire Council has continued to flush the system and take water quality results. These results have been reviewed by NSW Health and align with the safe drinking water standards for Australia.

Residents in the Parkes Shire who get their water from the B Section Pipeline are no longer required to boil their water before consumption and can consume water directly from the tap on their properties. Council and the Public Health Unit advise there is no need for action by residents in relation to their drinking water supply.

Parkes Shire Council thanks residents for their patience and cooperation.
