Summer nights filled with lights, music, performances and fireworks - all from a floating stage - will deliver a spectacular finale to the season, as Elizabeth Quay transforms into Perth's premier entertainment zone for Lotterywest Summer Nights.
From Friday 27 February to Sunday 1 March, the City will host a three-night festival of immersive performances, live music, family entertainment and nightly fireworks along the waterfront.
City of Perth Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds said Lotterywest Summer Nights is one of Perth's most anticipated summer events, bringing together an exciting line-up of artists and experiences in an iconic riverside setting.
"Elizabeth Quay has been the place to celebrate summer in our City - and across three dazzling nights there will be something for everyone," Mr Reynolds said.
"From DJ sets to the Perth Symphony Orchestra House Party, Boox Kid and San Cisco, all performing from a floating stage in the Quay, this is a truly unique experience. Pick your night or come to them all - you won't want to miss this multi-night spectacle."
"I am incredibly proud of the City's summer events program - Perth has been buzzing with record crowds. Whether you're planning a family outing, a date night or simply looking to enjoy a balmy summer evening by the river, Lotterywest Summer Nights offers something for everyone and every budget."
"Families can kick back and relax in the Lotterywest Chillout Zone before each evening concludes with a fireworks display lighting up our City's iconic skyline, and I want to thank our friends at Lotterywest and DevelopmentWA whose support has made this free event possible." he said.
Lotterywest CEO Colin Smith said support for Lotterywest Summer Nights is part of a more than $4.7 million grant supporting the City of Perth's summer events program.
"Community events like Lotterywest Summer Nights give Western Australians the opportunity to come together, connect, and celebrate WA's vibrant culture in the heart of our capital city," Mr Smith said.
"Lotterywest Summer Nights showcases incredible WA talent with plenty of free family entertainment on offer for everybody to enjoy."
Visitors can also enjoy three hours of free parking at City of Perth Parking Cultural Centre, Pier Street and His Majesty's car parks.
The City's Twilight Food Markets in Forrest Place also continues every Friday night through to 24 April (excl Good Friday) offering a convenient pre-event dining option. And if you're after a recovery breakfast before the Sunday show begins, Barrack Square Markets is back on Sunday 1 March from 7am – 12pm.
This free event is brought to you by the City of Perth, and our Major Supporters Lotterywest and Destination Partner DevelopmentWA.
