Linked offences Logan Police District

Police are investigating two incidents that occurred in the early hours of this morning in the Logan Police District that are believed to be linked, Queensland Police say.

Between 3.30am and 4am, a grey dual cab 4WD containing two men was driven through the front glass doors of a Chinese restaurant at Carl Heck Drive at Windaroo. Once inside the men used sledge hammers to try and gain entry to an ATM situated at the front of the restaurant. The men were unable to gain entry to the ATM and nothing was stolen from the restaurant.

A short time later around 4.10am two men in grey 4WD have attended a fast food takeaway at Logan River Road at Holmview and used sledge hammers to smash a lower glass section of the front door to gain entry. Once inside the men used sledge hammers to gain entry to a safe and steal cash.

Both men are described as wearing all black and masks over their faces.
