Living Lightly Expo is on again

Devonport City Council Tasmania

The Living Lightly Expo will once again encourage and educate the public on how to live sustainably, eat locally and eat healthily when it returns to the Devonport Community Garden on Saturday, 29 October 2022, from 11am to 2:00pm.

The family-friendly expo showcases affordable and locally sourced opportunities that may help people to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.

Coordinated by the Devonport Community House and Devonport City Council, the expo will provide a wide range of stalls, activities and demonstrations on offer, including seedlings grown by the Don College and Community Garden Team, soy candle making, the Devonport Seed Library, Babushka's Bazaar, ReThink Waste Tasmania, CANWest - Climate Change, the Community House mosaics group, Bicycle Networks Tasmania, Spinners and Weavers, the Bee-Keepers' Association – plus a whole lot more.

Devonport Mayor Annette Rockliff said, "The Living Lightly Expo has a great reputation for providing simple, practical and affordable advice for those who want to improve their way of living, especially when it comes to saving money and reducing waste."

"It's all about making the most of our available resources, so that even if we have waste, we are aware of all the ways in which it can be recycled."

The expo is free to attend, however donations to Relay for Life will be gratefully accepted on entry.
