Victoria's construction sector continues to stall under Labor as new reports reveal work is yet to start on 30 major commercial sites across Melbourne's CBD.
These developments, with an estimated $11 billion in investment have stalled due to property policy setting and taxes under the Allan Labor Government.
Many property developers are warning that projects are becoming increasingly uneconomical to build - meaning permits are not translating to new homes or commercial buildings.
In contrast to Labor's red tape and highest in the nation property tax burden, the Victorian Liberals and Nationals have a clear plan to deliver more homes, more choice and greater affordability.
A future Jess Wilson led Liberal and Nationals Government will:
Shadow Minister for Planning, David Southwick, said: "Under Labor, Victoria has the highest property tax burden in the nation as construction of new homes is at a decade low.
"Right now, billions of dollars' worth of development is sitting idle in the heart of Melbourne because Labor has made it too hard and too expensive to build.
"We want every Victorian to have the best opportunity to own their own home, but that simply won't happen if projects can't get off the ground.
"Only our Liberal and Nationals team has a plan to deliver more homes, more choice and greater affordability for all Victorians."
