Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed in Bentleigh East early this morning.
Police were called to an apartment complex on St Georges Avenue about 2am after reports of an alleged stabbing.
Investigators have been told two men attended the property and entered an underground car park.
The pair were confronted by two residents of the complex and a struggle ensued.
One of the men suffered life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital while the other man ran off.
The second man has been located and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
