Man dies after falling off ATV - woman charged at Camden

A woman has been charged and will face Court following the death of a man after falling from an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on a property in the Camden area yesterday.

About 5.30pm on Saturday 10 October 2020, emergency services were called to a rural property at Mount Hunter near Camden, following reports a man had allegedly fallen from the cargo area of an ATV, causing severe head injuries.

The man was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, the man died as a result of his injuries.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command commenced an investigation, with the assistance of the Crash Investigation Unit.

A 34-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing. She was later taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.

The woman has been granted conditional bail to appear before Picton Local Court on Tuesday 10 November 2020.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner regarding the man's death.
