Man dies, three injured after crash - Central Coast

A man has died, and three people are in hospital following a car crash on the Central Coast this morning.

About 4.30am (Saturday 21 March 2020), emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Washington Avenue, Niagara Park.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated four males for serious injuries. Despite their efforts, one man died at the scene.

Two men were driven to hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics in a serious condition, one to Gosford Hospital and the other to John Hunter Hospital. The third man was airlifted Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District have established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced inquiries.

The public are urged to avoid the area with road closures in place on Washington Avenue and surrounding areas.
