Police Minister Michelle Roberts has welcomed a series of police raids on the Rebels bikie gang which has netted drugs, cash and illegal firearms.
The blitz has resulted in more than 400 charges being laid against members, nominees and associates of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
The haul includes methamphetamine and cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $4 million, illegal firearms and nearly half a million dollars in cash.
Seventy-eight people associated with the Rebels are facing serious charges which include aggravated armed robbery, threaten to kill, extortion, drug offences and others.
The WA Police Force Gang Crime Squad took part in a Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Day of Action across Australia and New Zealand last Wednesday, which resulted in raids on Rebels properties in Rockingham and Bunbury.
The Gang Crime Squad continue to actively target and monitor the activities of bikie gangs in Western Australia.
Last year, the McGowan Government passed new laws giving police greater powers to target money laundering and organised crime activities.
As stated by Police Minister Michelle Roberts:
"The McGowan Government is serious about stopping the expansion of organised crime and we're doing everything we can to tackle these gangs.
"I want to congratulate our police officers involved in these operations.
"These raids will have a significant impact and importantly disrupt the illegal activities of the Rebels bikie gang."
