Missing surf skiers, Stradbroke Island

Water Police are currently coordinating a sea and air search for two missing surf skiers in the Moreton Bay area.

The pair left Dunwich around 10.30am today (May 29) bound for Cylinder Beach on Stradbroke Island.

The two men, both aged in their mid to late 20s have not been seen since.

A search has commenced involving Water Police, Volunteer Marine Rescue, Rescue 500 and a fixed wing jet.

Searches commenced around the South Passage Bar and are expected to continue into the night.

They are on two surf skis (pictured) and do not have any food with them.

Anyone who may have seen the skis, or the missing duo is urged to contact police immediately.
