Missing swimmer at Dunwich

Water Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to a swimmer possibly missing in the waters off Polka Point, North Stradbroke Island late this afternoon (December 25).

Around 5.50pm witnesses were watching a person swimming offshore.The person was swimming in a north west direction.

Water Police, Polair and Coast Guard vessels are currently conducting a search of the area.

Police are requesting that if anyone with information concerning this report including the swimmer to please contact Policelink on 131444.
