A woman reported missing from Ashfield has been located safe.
The 89-year-old was last seen on Clissold Street, Ashfield, about 7:36 am today (Thursday 25 January 2024).
When she could not be located, officers attached to Burwood Police area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
Police subsequently issued a public appeal for information and an SMS geo-targeting alert to the Ashfield areas.
About 12:40 today (Thursday 25 January 2024) a member of the public – who received the alert - sighted the woman and contacted police.
