Motorcyclist dies after Bacchus Marsh collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a collision in Bacchus Marsh this evening.

It is believed a man was riding a motorcycle south on Grant Street when he collided with a silver Subaru hatchback just after 6.30pm.

The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old Darley man, received life-threatening injuries and was air-lifted to hospital.

Sadly, he died a short time after.

The driver of the hatchback, a 28-year-old Bacchus Marsh woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
