Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria. This position is located at the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS) in Clifton Hill, 15 minutes from Melbourne's CBD. CFMHS is a specialist state-wide agency that works with individuals who have a serious mental health illness and have offended or are at risk of offending.

About the role:

The Clinical Liaison Officer will assist in the coordination of clinical services to Non-Custodial Supervision Order (NCSO) clients under the provisions of the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act. Clinicians working in the program provide supervision, liaison, advanced risk assessment, education and clinical consultation to area mental health services to assist with the management of clients on these orders. Forensicare has a formal statewide supervisory role in ensuring compliance with the Court ordered conditions.

About you:

You are a nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, or psychologist with 3-5 years experience in mental health services post registration/qualification. You have the capacity to undertake comprehensive psychiatric, psychosocial and risk assessments and to plan, implement and evaluate clinical interventions. You are a skilled relationship builder with the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with clients, carers, family members, members of the general community and other professionals.
