The Cook Labor Government has approved a financial reward of up to $1 million for information that leads to an arrest and conviction relating to a double homicide in Albany.
Sixty-nine-year-old Erica Coyne and her 50-year-old son Lloyd Mitchell were both found with serious assault injuries at a unit on Burville Street, Spencer Park, on 8 February 2026.
WA Police believe a weapon may have been discarded after the incident, but despite extensive and thorough investigative efforts, this item has not been located.
The Cook Labor Government has approved the $1 million reward following consultation with police.
The significant financial reward reflects the Cook Labor Government's commitment to community safety and its support for WA Police as the Homicide Squad continues to pursue this unsolved homicide.
