New Concert Series Arrives At METRONET Stations

  • Station Sounds concert series bringing live music to new METRONET stations
  • Concerts to be held at different stations each Saturday in March
  • Series to start at Yanchep Station followed by Ellenbrook, Oats Street, and Byford
  • Cook Government committed to delivering world-class public transport

Live music will take over four METRONET train stations this month as part of a free community concert series.

Station Sounds is a new free family-friendly outdoor concert series to be held at four of Perth's newest station precincts in Yanchep, Ellenbrook, Oats Street, and Byford.

Each concert will feature Western Australian musicians performing a unique genre, with food trucks and a range of interactive activities on offer for kids and families.

  • 7 March: blues at Yanchep Station
  • 14 March: jazz at Ellenbrook Station (Charlie Gregorini Memorial Park)
  • 21 March: modern classic at Oats Street Station (Long Park)
  • 28 March: indie rock at Byford Station

Station Sounds follows the recent success of Illuminate the Journey, a community celebration at Long Park enjoyed by thousands of visitors across its 10-day run.

The events are another opportunity for residents to come together, connect, and celebrate their neighbourhoods in welcoming, activated public spaces.

Attendees are encouraged to make the journey part of the experience by catching the train to each Station Sounds location.

The event series are part of the Cook Government's vision for METRONET, which has transformed Perth's public transport network, unlocking land for housing, local businesses, and community activation.

All four events will run from 5pm to 7pm. Follow @METRONET on social media for more information.
