New lots fast-tracked at Waranyjarri Estate at Broome North

  • Construction works underway at Waranyjarri Estate at Broome North
  • New homesites offering new residential lots for Broome
  • Land available at the popular Waranyjarri Estate at Broome North has moved quicker than expected, with subdivision works for Stage 11 now underway.

The McGowan Government - through DevelopmentWA - has been working closely with recently appointed local contractor Roadline Civil Contractors - who has now taken possession of the site - to fast-track the subdivision process and bring forward titles for the Stage 11 release.

With construction works already underway, civil works are now expected to be completed by Christmas, with landscaping works finished early March 2023.

Stage 11 is located in the heart of Waranyjarri Estate - adjacent the Broome North Primary School and parks - and will be the final stage within the first residential neighbourhood. There are still homesites available, currently ranging in size from 480sqm to 1,054sqm, and starting in price from $183,000.

The new release also includes the development of a 2,253sqm childcare site adjacent to the Broome North Primary School.

Located 5km north of the existing town centre, Broome North will deliver up to 4,800 new homes for approximately 13,000 new residents, ensuring a long-term supply of land and housing options to suit a diverse range of people.

As stated by Lands Minister John Carey:

"Our Government continues to do all it can to boost the supply of affordable housing across the State, in particular across regional WA.

"We announced the release of the new lots in August this year, so it is great to see subdivision works are now underway.

"Broome North is a 700-hectare master-planned community that will ultimately comprise seven different residential neighbourhoods, primary and secondary schools, a variety of parks and open spaces, a district shopping centre with retail, tourism and commercial facilities, and opportunities."

As stated by Kimberley MLA Divina D'Anna:

"Broome's population continues to grow, and it's important we are able to provide enough land to meet the growing needs of the community.

"The McGowan Government is pleased to offer more family-friendly homesites in such a premium location within this vibrant Broome North community."
