Key Ages and Stages Assessments provide families with an opportunity to access free health checks at key developmental stages in their child's life. Guidance is provided on nutrition, breastfeeding, child development and parenting strategies.
To ensure children receive these essential checks, the City of Casey has opened three new Maternal and Child Health (MCH) consult rooms in Clyde North and Cranbourne West. The rooms are located at:
Mirvac's Smiths Lane Community: 35 Oconnor Avenue, Clyde North
Operating hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Age range: All age groups
Cranbourne West Community Hub: 4 Flicka Boulevard, Cranbourne West
Operating hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
Age range: All age groups
Ercildoune Homestead: 15 Ercildoune Court, Cranbourne West
Operating hours: Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and some Saturdays, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Age range: 18 months and over
Our MCH nurses can provide referrals to additional services, providing important early intervention support to families. Families can also access community programs through the MCH service, such as parenting groups and educational sessions.
With the highest birth rates in the state - 5,735 babies born in Casey in 2024-25 - rising challenges in meeting infrastructure demands due to rapid population growth, and lack of State Government funding for MCH infrastructure, we are delighted to provide the new rooms.
To make an appointment at any of these centres, contact 9705 5590, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, or complete the Request to book an appointment form on our website. Visit https://www.casey.vic.gov.au/maternal-child-health-services
