This week on New Mexico in Focus, correspondent Megan Kamerick sits down with researchers at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine who have developed a vaccine that carries the tantalizing possibility of preventing Alzheimer's disease.

NMiF travels to Santa Fe to talk to some of the attendees at a rally in support of President Donald Trump's reelection campaign. The president held a rally in Florida attended by thousands. In New Mexico, key issues seem to be immigration, abortion and gun rights.

Gene Grant and the Line opinion panel debate the inclusion of a citizenship question on the 2020 census, and how it may affect the count in New Mexico. The Line also looks at the news of shocking conditions at a Border Patrol detention center for immigrant children, and how public outcry may change the way our country deals with these vulnerable migrants. Gene Grant and panelists also examine rising numbers of unvaccinated school children in our state, due in part to a loophole in New Mexico law.
