Nominations are now open for the Cardinia Shire Council's annual Good Choice Awards.
The Good Choice Awards recognise and celebrate young people aged 12-24 who demonstrate resilience, kindness, and strength in their decision-making throughout 2024.
This might include prioritising study, applying for a job, making informed choices about their health and safety, accessing support networks, prioritising life goals and aspirations, choosing to spend time with positive influences, and engaging in school or returning to study with confidence.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jack Kowarzik is encouraging everyone to nominate a young person who has made some great choices this year.
"I'm always amazed by the drive and good decisions our young people show. It's awesome to have a chance to celebrate their bold moves towards achieving their dreams," said Mayor Kowarzik.
Nominations for the Good Choice Awards close on Monday, 4 August. Council will hold a celebratory event in September to recognise all the young people nominated for a Good Choice Award.
