NSW Police Seek Missing Man in Sydney's South West 9 February

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's south west.

Buon Hot Chay, aged 61, was last seen on Railway Parade, Cabramatta, about 4.15pm on Thursday 1 February 2024.

When concerns were raised for his welfare, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified on Sunday 4 February 2024 and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare.

Buon is described as being of Asian appearance, about 175cm tall with thin build and short grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeve button-up shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and was carrying a large brown bag with orange writing.

He is known to frequent Cabramatta and Wetherill Park, and uses the Sydney rail network.

Police believe Buon may have attended Central Train Station before walking towards George Street, Haymarket, about 7.30am on Wednesday 7 February 2024.
