October In Camden Looks Like

October in Camden is set to sparkle with events for business leaders, families, students and everyone in between.

Camden Council has a packed program on offer, featuring Small Business Month, the #IAMCAMDEN campaign, Children's Week and Grandparents Day, alongside the ever-popular activities at Camden Libraries.

This year's Small Business Month, themed The Future Is Now, gives local operators the chance to upskill, connect and explore fresh opportunities through workshops on AI-powered SEO, Creative Connect networking, and hands-on AI in Action sessions. A highlight will be the Small Business Month Networking Event on Thursday 23 October from 5.30pm at Camden Civic Centre, featuring McCrindle Research and plenty of opportunities to build networks.

Running in tandem is the #IAMCAMDEN campaign, shining a spotlight on 10 local businesses throughout October. Professional videos and photography are being showcased across Council's platforms, with highlights also presented at the Networking Event.

Families won't miss out either, with Children's Week and Grandparents Day bringing a series of free activities designed to celebrate intergenerational connections and create lasting memories.

Meanwhile, Camden's three libraries are keeping students and families supported with their regular programs, including Storytime, Babies Into Books, Homework Help Club, High School Help, Code Club, Lego Robotics and more, plus a suite of extras for HSC students.

These include after-hours study lock-ins at Narellan and Oran Park Libraries, extended Sunday hours at Oran Park Library (12-4pm throughout October), HSC masterclasses in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English and free HSC survival kits packed with study essentials.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said the variety on offer reflected the spirit of the community.

"There's so much happening in October and truly something for everyone," Cr Cagney said.

"Whether you're chasing business growth, family fun or a quiet space to prepare for exams, Camden really is the place to be. It's fantastic to see such a diverse program on offer month after month."
