Online Flood Hotspot Map: Bayside

Council re-established its online flood hotspot map.

If you have experienced consistent flooding on or near your property which has originated from a local stormwater drain, natural stream or estuary you can now 'pin it' on Council's hotspot map.

Council is also preparing a comprehensive report for Council that will provide transparency on:

  • Progress on the current design and feasibility projects which have been prioritised for implementation in the Bayside Flood Risk Management Plan
  • Specifications, frequency and forward scheduling of Council's proactive maintenance of drainage assets, including the clearing and cleaning of drainage pits and pipes

Council will also look also continue to work closely with Sydney Water to ensure its drains are maintained and monitored prior to predicted rainfall.

Mayor Saravinovski said:

"Residents have been severely impacted by recurrent flooding over the past year," Mayor Bill Saravinovski said.

"This online flood hotspot map will help Council and residents better understand what areas are more likely to be affected by wet weather."
