OSIRIS-REx Unveils Bennu Asteroid Sample Findings

Longueuil, Quebec, - On , NASA will hold a news conference at Johnson Space Center in Houston to reveal material collected from asteroid Bennu as part of the OSIRIS-REx mission.

Thanks to the Canadian Space Agency's (CSA's) contribution of the OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter (OLA), Canada will receive a portion of the sample, making Canada the fifth country in the world to receive and curate a sample collected in space. This material will be studied by generations of Canadian and international scientists. The curation facility will be built at CSA headquarters in Longueuil, Quebec.
