Ottawa, Québec Invest In Graphie's Expansion

Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions

The governments of Canada and Quebec are providing financial support to Graphie to support the modernization and expansion of its manufacturing operations.

The Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), the Honourable Mélanie Joly, and the Member for Côte‑du‑Sud, Mathieu Rivest, on behalf of the Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy and Minister Responsible for Maritime Strategy, Bernard Drainville, made the announcement.

Thanks to this funding totalling $900,000, Graphie-a manufacturing business in La Pocatière specializing in precision metal processing and industrial identification-will be able to proceed with a 3,000-square-foot expansion and acquire new equipment, including a folding press, a laser cutting machine and a robot.

This project, with a total value of $1.25 million, aims to increase the business's productivity and manufacturing capacity. Graphie thus plans to diversify its operations, expand its markets, reduce production time, improve the quality of its products and meet demand even more quickly, including in the transportation and defence sectors.

Ottawa and Québec are pursuing their commitment to boost growth among Quebec businesses by making targeted investments to stimulate their efficiency and the creation of wealth across all regions. This is a direct way to build a prosperous future for the Bas‑Saint-Laurent region and Quebec as a whole.
