Tasmanians can once again enjoy their favourite parks and reserves this long weekend, with Stage 2 restrictions to ease from 3pm Friday.
The easing of restrictions will mean our parks and reserves are once again open to all Tasmanians, with the 30 kilometre travel limit no longer in place.
Camping in our stunning parks and reserves is a much-loved part of the Tasmanian way of life, and this news will be warmly welcomed by campers ahead of the long weekend.
It's important to remember Tasmanians must continue to observe social distancing and gathering rules, and reopened parks and reserves will be monitored to ensure rules are adhered to.
Some campgrounds, facilities and services will remain closed for the next two weeks in preparation to manage visitor numbers and put in place measures to meet health and safety guidelines.
Additionally, visitor centres will also remain closed before reopening on 15 June, to allow for comprehensive COVID-safe plans to be implemented.
