Pedestrian dies after crash - Bexley

A pedestrian has died in hospital after being hit by a car at Bexley earlier this week.

About 9am on Tuesday (13 October 2020), emergency services were called to Shaw Street, Bexley, following reports a man had been struck by a white Toyota van.

The pedestrian, a 92-year-old man, was taken to St George Hospital, suffering head injuries.

The driver, a 34-year-old man, was uninjured and breath tested at the scene.

Officers from St George Police Area Command with the assistance of the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Earlier yesterday (Thursday 15 October 2020), the 92-year-old man passed away in hospital.

Police are requesting if anyone has dash cam footage of the incident to contact them immediately.

Investigations are continuing.
