Perth Zoo gives dads free entry

  • Dads get in free for Father's Day
  • Fathers will not have to purchase a ticket at the gate or online this Sunday
  • Perth Zoo will celebrate Father's Day with free entry for all dads.

The zoo will provide free admission for dads on Sunday (September 6), encouraging families to spend the day at Perth Zoo together.

Dads will not be required to purchase a ticket at the zoo gate or online, but rather are invited to enjoy the wild present from the zoo instead.

The zoo currently has a bevy of animal fathers including Armani the giraffe stud whose young son, Inkosi, is beginning to catch up to him in height, and Cerdik the Asian Small-clawed Otter will be kept busy with seven children vying for his attention.

As stated by Environment Minister Stephen Dawson:

"It's fantastic to be able to provide WA dads with free entry to the zoo this Father's Day.

"This is an annual zoo tradition and an important day for us to say 'thank you' to fathers who come to the zoo with their children and share the amazing world of wildlife with them.

"Perth Zoo has long been a family favourite, a place where fond memories are created, and it is important that as many dads as possible can enjoy all the zoo has to offer with their families."
