Police appeal for witnesses after police car rammed in Eynesbury

Melton Criminal Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses after a police car was rammed in Eynesbury last month, Victoria Police say.

Police attempted to intercept a truck, which had earlier been seen towing a stolen grey Toyota Celica, on Exford Road about 1.35am on Tuesday 28 February.

While police were trying to intercept the truck it reversed into the passenger side of the divisional van before driving off along Exford Road.

The two police members inside were not injured, but the divisional van had to be towed from the scene along with the stolen car.

Two men and a woman were inside the truck at the time of the incident.

It is understood the Toyota was stolen from Tarneit Railway Station about 7.25am on the previous day.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
