Police appeal to locate missing teenager at Coonabarabran

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenager missing from the state's central west.

Joshua Drake, aged 15, was last seen leaving a home on River Road, Coonabarabran, about 11.30pm on Monday 4 October 2021.

He was reported missing to officers attached to Orana-Mid Western Police District a short time later, who commenced inquiries to locate him.

Initial inquiries indicate Joshua was sighted about 100km from Coonabarabran at Coolah yesterday morning (Tuesday 5 October 2021), before he is believed to have travelled to the Maitland area in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer.

Police and family hold concerns for Joshua's welfare due to medical conditions which require treatment.

Joshua is described as being about 180cm tall, of slim build with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants.
