Police are responding to fatal crash at Edinburgh 20 November, South Australia

Major Crash officers are investigating after a fatal crash at Edinburgh early this morning.

Just after 12.30am on Saturday 20 November, emergency services were called to the intersection of West Avenue and Third Avenue after reports that a motorbike rider failed to negotiate a roundabout, left the road and crashed into a fence.

The rider of the motorbike, a 19-year-old from Torrensville, sadly died at the scene.

West Avenue was closed for several hours while Major Crash investigators examined the scene, but has since reopened.

The teenager's death is the 89th life lost on South Australian roads this year compared to 79 at the same time last year. This is the 17th fatality involving a motorcyclist this year.
