Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Hamelin Pool, near Shark Bay, on Monday, 3 August 2026.
About 11.30am, a RAM utility towing a caravan and a Toyota Landcruiser utility, travelling in opposite directions, were involved in a collision on North West Coastal Highway, approximately 20km south of Overlander Roadhouse.
The 60-year-old male driver of the RAM and the 45-year-old male driver of the Toyota Landcruiser died at the scene.
A woman aged in her 50s and a child, who were passengers in the RAM, were conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital and Perth Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
