Police are responding to fatal crash in Thornlie between cyclist and e-scooter

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash in Thornlie that occurred in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 4 May 2022.

About 2.25am, a cyclist and an e-Scooter travelling on the footpath, collided on a blind bend on the corner of Nicholson and Yale Roads.

The male rider of the e-Scooter, a 46-year-old man, received critical injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Fiona Stanley Hospital where he was declared deceased.

The cyclist, a 52-year-old man, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
