Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating an incident that occurred in Pingrup yesterday, Tuesday 30 March 2021.
About 12.30 pm, a grey Nissan X-trail was driving north on Chester Pass Road, Pingrup was involved in a collision with a tree.
A 73-year-old female died at the scene and a 78-year-old male was taken to Katanning Hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
