Police have arrested a man following a robbery earlier today at Evanston Gardens.
Just after 12.30pm on Thursday 11 June, the driver of a delivery van was on Robe Street when he was approached by a man who allegedly pushed him to the ground before stealing his Toyota van. The suspect was not pursued by patrols and followed by PolAir as he drove through a number of suburbs within the greater metropolitan area.
PolAir continued to follow the van from the air for several hours without any traffic incidents, until the driver stopped on the Sturt Highway at Kingsford just before 6.30pm.
A 19-year-old man from Evanston Gardens is expected to be charged with robbery and illegal use.
The victim received some minor grazes to his arm.
