A woman will face court today charged after a teenage boy died following a crash on the Central Coast yesterday.
About 2.20am (Monday 14 September 2026), emergency services were called to Alukea Avenue, Point Clare, following reports of a crash.
At the scene, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were told the Mazda sedan – allegedly stolen from Narara – had left the road at a bend on the rail overpass before it crashed into the rail corridor at Point Clare and rolled.
One of the passengers – a 15-year-old boy – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital; however, he died on arrival.
The second passenger – an 18-year-old woman – was airlifted to a hospital in Westmead in a serious condition.
The driver – an 18-year-old woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital for mandatory testing under police guard.
A crime scene was established and officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the crash.
About 7pm, the driver was discharged from hospital and taken to Gosford Police Station where she was charged with:
- Negligent driving (occasions grievous bodily harm)
- Negligent driving (occasioning death)
- Drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, and
- P1 driver under 25 drive at night with more than 1 passenger under 21 yrs.
A court attendance notice was also served on the woman for unrelated knife and drug offences.
She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 today (Tuesday 15 September 2026).
