Police charge man after Aggravated Armed Robbery - Chigwell

Tasmania Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Risdon Vale after an armed robbery in Chigwell last night where a man was struck to the head and received a head wound.

He was charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and detained to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court today.

Investigations have revealed that two men, one of which was known to the victim, have entered the residence and struck the victim with an implement, before further assaulting him and stealing some of his belongings.

The offenders have left and the victim obtained the assistance of neighbours who contacted police at around 7.45pm.

The victim sustained a head wound and has since been discharged from the RHH.
